Brother Sister Hex - End Times

from FuzzHeavy Sampler - January 2018 by FuzzHeavy

about

Brother Sister Hex is Fuzz Pop Sludge Rock from Denver, CO

Propelled by singer/guitarist Colfax Mingo's soulful, mesmerizing vocals and thought-provoking lyrics - 'End Times' compelling sound is embodied by the complimentary dual guitars of Colfax Mingo and guitarist Patrick Huddleson; and the indelible rhythm section of bassist Drew Hicks and guest drummer Jordan Palmer (Plastic Daggers). Recorded, mixed, and mastered with Pete De Boer at World Famous Studios in Denver - 'End Times' will bring to mind touches of the downtuned, dusty, swampy vibes of desert, stoner, and sludge rock; combined with the bluesy rawness and attitude of the 21st century garage rock revival. Bolstered with the grungy, noisy, fuzzy tones of early 90s alternative and the layered, moody and enigmatic sound of Radiohead - it should appeal to fans of Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey, The Black Keys, Early Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Dead Weather, Soundgarden, and Radiohead alike.

Band Members:
Colfax Mingo - Vocals, Guitar
Patrick Huddleson - Guitar
Drew Hicks - Bass

"End Times" was originally released on the album End Times EP by Brother Sister Hex, September 8, 2017.

lyrics

Push up right against the edge because it's dangerous
I swear to god there's got to be something wrong with us
No no no no no no
We're not done
We're not done here yet

Taking notes, taking notice, like it's something new
We're in so deep, so tied up. The only way is through
Go go go go go go
We're not done
We're not done here yet

Let me in
Let me in
Let me in
End times are coming

Half way to half way
Arguing fiction
Some things are fucked up
Don't hit the kill switch

Push up right against the edge because we're dangerous
You can't unsee, you can't unhear, what comes out of us
No no no no no no
We're not done
We're not done here yet

Let me in
Let me in
Let me in
End times are coming
